117 – Ian Anderson – 310R

Ian began his circuit racing journey in 2010 after a Caterham experience day at Brands Hatch. 3 weeks later he bought his first Caterham Sigma race car and joined the Caterham Graduates Racing Club (CGRC). Ian secured back-to-back CGRC Sigma Championships in 2011 and 2012. In 2012 Ian joined McMillian Motorsport to also compete in the Caterham R300’s championship alongside his Sigma campaign. The highlight of the year was racing the Sigma Caterham at Rockingham Raceway and racing the R300 at Silverstone on the same weekend!
Expanding his experience beyond Caterhams, Ian took on endurance racing in 2015, competing in Britcar with a Ginetta G50, followed by a season in GT Cup in 2016 behind the wheel of a Ginetta G55. In 2018, he tackled multiple rounds of the 750MC Club Enduro series, in a Ginetta G40.
In 2023, Ian returned to Caterham racing, this time alongside his wife, Amanda Anderson. Together, they founded Alpha 7 Motorsport, a professional Caterham racing team, where he competes as both a driver and team owner.
