112 – Andy Whitton – 310R
Andy started racing in 2013 in the Caterham Academy and has stuck with the format ever since moving from Academy through Road Sport, Track Sport and finally into Super Sport which is now the 310R.
His first ever pole position was at Snetterton in 2021 where he had to seek advice from more seasoned pole sitters as to the right protocols. It was extremely wet and he nearly spun the car on the green flag lap.
His best result was a pole to flag race at Oulton Park in 2021.
His Racing High was getting two podium finishes at Spa in 2023.
Hi best championship result is 3rd place in 2022.
His favourite UK track is the Donnington National circuit and overall favourite track is Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
His most unusual racing experience was arriving at Knockhill in Scotland, towing his car to discover, to much hilarity from everyone else, that the trailer had lost a wheel on the trip up.
Married to Jayne and father to Emily, Andy lives in Bletchingley, Surrey with Brands Hatch as his local circuit.
