047 – Amanda Anderson – 270R

Amanda began her circuit racing journey in 2005 through the all-female Formula Woman competition. Though her initial stint was brief, competing in just three races, she quickly caught the Caterham racing bug. She returned to the Caterham Graduates Racing Club (CGRC) in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014, securing the CGRC Sigma Championship title in 2013 and back-to-back British Women’s Drivers Championship titles in 2012 and 2013.
Expanding her experience beyond Caterhams, Amanda took on endurance racing in 2015, competing in Britcar with a Ginetta G50, followed by a season in GT Cup in 2016 behind the wheel of a Ginetta G55. In 2018, she tackled multiple rounds of the 750MC Club Enduro series, further honing her racecraft in high-intensity endurance racing.
In 2023, Amanda returned to Caterham racing, this time alongside her husband, Ian Anderson. Together, they founded Alpha 7 Motorsport, a professional Caterham racing team, where she competes as both a driver and team owner in the CGRC 2023 and 2024 seasons.
Amanda is a strong advocate for women in motorsport, championing opportunities for female drivers, mechanics, technicians, and engineers in the industry.
