031 – ANDREA BONANI – 310R
I’m a 34 year old Italian orthopaedic surgeon, based in Turin and skilled in knee replacement, hip replacement and sport medicine (ACL reconstruction, meniscal surgery, rotator cuff pathologies, etc.).
My first official race experience was the Snetterton 300 1.6 7 Series race during the last season. Before that I enjoyed a lot of trackdays and “time attack” style event in Italy and in the rest of Europe with my Lotus Elise S1.
My racing hero is Gilles Villeneuve, but, in the modern era, I’m a big fan of Fernando Alonso. I’m also a big fan of Jacky Ickx and Sir Jackie Stewart.
My favourite track is undoubtedly the Nordschleife; I love the scary feeling that every bit of its asphalt transfers to my brain and soul. I return there every year with my friends, we enjoy some power laps, drinks, nights and the magical atmosphere of the green hell.
